Time Lapse Thursday: TIE-Interceptor

August 8, 2013

Happy Time Lapse Thursday!

This week, we’re going a little throwback – to a time when Geeks ruled the social atmosphere (and world). A long time ago, in a galaxy far away…

This week, we printed something that all Star Wars fans should be able to recognize, a TIE Interceptor. This fictional spacecraft first made its appearance on the silver screen in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. We thought it was only fitting to post this print during Geek Week on Youtube.

Our print was printed in sections and assembled to make it whole. The body was designed by DavidHanwell and the stand by henriksson19. It’s important to note that when you remove the body from the print platform, be extra careful to not damage the wings. Overall, this print was very delicate and has some great fine detail, and it fits right in sitting on my desk at the office.  It’s a welcomed addition to my collection, and now you can have one too!

Our file was printed at:

Z Layer Resolution : 0.15mm

Fill: Hollow

Material: ABS

Quality: Fine

With Raft

Body Final Print Size: 92.16 x 73.23 x 75.60mm

Stand  Final Print Size: 59.83 x 59.83 x 59.66mm

Until next week, Happy Printing!
