Borosilicate Glass

borosilicatePlatform Alternative

Afinia’s Borosilicate Glass is a high temperature-resistant glass and is the perfect platform for your H-Series 3D printer. With the thickness and density of this glass, you never have to worry about the platform warping! The Borosilicate glass does require an adhesive to be applied before you can start 3D printing (ABS/Acetone slurry or Kapton tape).

Borosilicate Glass offers the following benefits:

  • Printing without the use of a raft
  • Greatly reduces warping
  • Finished models are easily removed from the glass once it has cooled down, no need for sharp tools
  • Polished edges so you don’t cut yourself

BuildTak

buildtakPlatform Surface

BuildTak is a proprietary, patent-pending composition that provides a stable 3D print surface for FDM (fused deposition modeling) printers that specifically use, but are not limited to, PLA and ABS. BuildTak is composed of high quality, heat-resistant materials that are designed to withstand the typical high operating temperatures of an FDM 3D printer.

BuildTak offers the following benefits:

  • Pre-cut to fit the dimensions of the H-Series 3D Printers
  • Can be used interchangeably for ABS & PLA
  • Easily applied to the Cell/Perf Board and leaves no residue when removed
